Position Overview
Zelis is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager, UAT to oversee and drive the strategic direction of our UAT Support Team, comprising Senior UAT Support Analysts and UAT Support Engineers. The Manager UAT will play a critical role in ensuring the effective execution of end-to-end User Acceptance Testing processes, guaranteeing that both UAT environments and teams perform at optimal levels. This position requires a leader with strong strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship abilities to elevate the quality and efficiency of UAT practices and align them with organizational goals.

What You'll Do

Team Leadership:

  • Define and implement the overall strategy for UAT processes, aligning them with the company's goals and objectives.

  • Lead and mentor the UAT Support Team, fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence in performance.

  • Set team objectives, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.

UAT Operations Management:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and validation of UAT activities, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality testing results.

  • Manage UAT environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability while minimizing downtime.

  • Establish and maintain standardized UAT methodologies, tools, and workflows across the team.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the UAT Support Team and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and alignment.

  • Provide stakeholders with timely updates on UAT progress, risks, and outcomes.

  • Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to address testing issues and implement solutions.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency within UAT processes, driving initiatives for continuous improvement.

  • Evaluate and implement emerging tools, technologies, and practices to enhance UAT capabilities.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure team and process performance.

Risk and Compliance Management:

  • Ensure all UAT activities comply with regulatory and organizational risk management guidelines.

  • Develop and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks in UAT processes and environments.

Team Development:

  • Provide ongoing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members.

  • Create and implement robust training programs to keep the team updated on industry trends and best practices.

  • Recognize and reward outstanding team contributions.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain UAT service level commitments and provide reports displaying overall performance.

  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of comprehensive UAT documentation, including test cases, issue logs, and resolution steps.

  • Deliver detailed reports and insights to senior leadership, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.

What You'll Bring to Zelis

  • 6+ years experience (UAT, Quality Assurance, Production Support, etc) with 4-5 years experience in UAT.

  • Must have experience leading or managing cross-functional teams and driving process improvements.

  • Expertise in UAT methodologies, tools, and best practices.

  • Proficiency in UAT and issue tracking tools such as Jira, SQL, and test automation frameworks.

  • Lead and motivate diverse teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.

  • Excellent decision-making and conflict-resolution abilities in fast-paced environments.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders across all levels.

  • Strong analytical skills to identify root causes of issues and drive effective solutions.

  • Ability to handle complex projects and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree is a plus.

Location and Workplace Flexibility
We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. We foster a hybrid and remote friendly culture, and all our employee's work locations are based on the needs of the position and determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.
