About the Role:

The Revenue Operations department is responsible for creating, maintaining, and continually improving PitchBook's systems that support our client-facing roles in Sales and Customer Success. This team works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and IT to drive efficiency, accuracy, and revenue growth.

As the Senior Manager, Sales & CS Intelligence, you will play a critical role in driving data-driven insights, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making for the Sales and Customer Success (CS) teams. By partnering with leadership, you will define key performance metrics, streamline processes, and empower teams with actionable intelligence to enhance growth and customer experience. Your primary focus will be on serving internal customers-Sales and CS teams and other business leaders-by delivering accurate and timely metrics, reports, and insights.

Adopting a Product Manager mindset, you will treat dashboards, reports, and analytics as products. This entails understanding your internal customers' analytics needs, delivering a positive user experience and driving engagement and retention for the analytics tools you develop. You will write detailed requirements to address customer use cases, track usage metrics to ensure adoption and satisfaction, and manage an analytics roadmap that aligns with business priorities.

Collaboration is essential for success in this role. You will work cross-functionally to monitor system changes and their impact on business data. Additionally, the role will partner with Enterprise Data Platform teams to ensure that data is consolidated, governed, and readily available to support reporting needs. As the leader of the Sales & CS Intelligence team, you will prioritize objectives that align with business goals and ensure analytics solutions meet the expectations of internal customers.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the needs, pain points, and opportunities of internal customers, primarily PitchBook's revenue-driving business teams. This includes empowering these teams with visibility and analytics that enable better decision-making and strategic planning
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of analysts and strategists, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Prioritize team deliverables based on their strategic alignment and business impact, ensuring that the team consistently delivers value
  • Define and own a comprehensive data strategy to support Sales and CS goals. Uncover trends, identify risks, and present actionable insights to leadership. These insights will inform strategic decisions and drive performance improvement
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for Sales and CS teams to measure success and identify areas for improvement. In partnership with Revenue Operations, track pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and key customer success metrics such as Net Promoter Score (NPS) and retention
  • Build and maintain an Intelligence roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on internal customer feedback. This roadmap will guide the development of impactful analytics products that support broader organizational objectives
  • Demonstrate continuous value creation through agile methodologies, prioritizing incremental delivery, adaptive planning, and rapid customer-focused iterations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to align on goals and share insights, ensuring that all intelligence initiatives support overarching revenue and customer satisfaction objectives
  • Work across teams will ensure alignment and consistency in data-driven strategies
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent experience is preferred
  • 8+ years in Sales & CS analytics or a similar role, including experience defining and building operational metrics, dashboards, and reports in a fast-paced environment
  • 4+ years of experience managing a team, with a proven ability to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), with experience in data modeling. Familiarity with tools like Catalyst or LeanData is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on actionable outcomes
  • Experience with product management principles, particularly in driving user engagement and satisfaction for analytics products
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable narratives
