Description Who we are looking for: Atkore, a recipient of a Great Place to Work certification and a Top Workplaces USA award, is searching for a Roll Room Tech to be based out of Phoenix, AZ. Reporting to the Value Stream Manager, this person will be responsible for repairing all parts and stands, setting precision bearing fittings and other similar tasks at the Atkore Phoenix, facility. This individual will comply with all site 5s standards and continuous improvement initiatives. What you'll do: Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Read and interpret blueprints and charts Select and gather all tools and supplies needed for set up. Inspect, repair and replace all types of roll stands, strip guide units, side pass units, weld roll units, turk heads and other related parts. Know limits and tolerances for all parts and tooling used on tube mills. Select proper bearing and component parts needed for repairs Polish, inspect and measure roll tooling to determine necessary repairs. Be skilled with micrometers, calipers, tape measure and other measuring equipment. Diagnose equipment and processes to prevent or minimize downtime. Operate forklift when needed. Other duties as assigned. What you'll bring: One year of related field experience preferred. Ability to utilize forklifts as needed. Ability to perform math problems and equations when needed.
