SummaryThe Lead Blood Center Component Tech is responsible for a variety of clinical and clerical functions to support the day-to-day operation of Donor Services. Clinical duties include processing whole blood and apheresis units into various components, sampling components for quality control, labeling and distribution of components to the transfusion services when ordered. Clerical duties include phone reception, printing reports, operation of office equipment such as fax machines and printers, in addition to basic computer skills in the blood bank information system.
