Position Description

This position is responsible for creating work orders / purchase order requisitions to support our customer sales orders. In this role, the Planner is responsible to ensure information is correct and communicated with all departments. Some of the other responsibilities are, planning parameters are correct, delivery schedules are communicated, and work order variances are accounted for. This position will also have the responsibility to communicate to the manufacturing floor priorities and schedules.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Team oriented work ethic and ability to work well with operators, engineers, and management.
  • Work across multiple disciplines and stakeholder groups to ensure timely delivery of all Sundyne orders.
  • Plan key parts milestones and drive requisitions accordingly
  • Forecast and resolve part shortages and resource bottlenecks while maintaining schedule.
  • Coordinate with purchasing on material and expedite requirements
  • Become familiar with and develop a working knowledge of internal processes, customer specifications, and best practices
  • Plan, process, track, status, report and expedite all job routings and Bill of Materials throughout the Sundyne manufacturing process.
  • Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities
  • Detailed status and reporting of projects throughout manufacturing, Assembly and Test
  • Process Engineering Change Notices
  • Enters NCMs and follows up with appropriate personnel for disposition and closure
  • This position will also have the responsibility to communicate to the manufacturing floor, priorities and schedules.
  • This position will coordinate and control the execution of material requirements for the manufacturing environment.
  • Comply with all Sundyne, ISO and OSHA regulations
  • Will utilize ERP system to effectively manage production orders
  • Responsible for ensuring system transactions for issuing material and completing orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Will issue required material for manufacturing orders in accordance with planned material usage.
  • Will facilitate efficient processing of orders to assure minimum resources and inventory investment.
  • Will work with other functional areas to monitor and resolve production order material issues.
  • Expected to identify, communicate, and address issues regarding material issuing.
  • Will utilize ERP system to effectively manage production orders.
  • Responsible for ensuring system transactions for issuing material and completing orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

  • The ability to predictably and regularly attend work and to be punctual
  • The ability to read and understand documents and drawings

  • The ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers
  • The ability to perform several tasks at once

Qualifications

  • Planning experience in a manufacturing or construction setting
  • MS Suite experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with JDE (or other MRP System) and Query (strategy program) preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • 2-5 Years working in Material Handling
  • Preferred experience with Warehouse Supervision

Compensation Details

Annual Salary: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00

Additional Compensation

Salary Range for this position: $75,000 -$95,000 (the salary offered will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and will be compared with internal equity along with market data for this position).
