Logistics Driver Operator

VistaPrint is looking for talented, fun, and energetic Driver Operators to join our world class manufacturing plant in Reno, NV!

B Shift: 6pm-4:30am Monday through Thursday ($25.23)

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for operating material handling equipment to receive, store and transport raw materials and finished goods into, and throughout the production facility. This role is responsible for performing electronic inventory transactions using the business ERP system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS




  • Safely off load inbound materials from delivery trucks
  • Safely put away product in storage locations as required using SAP.
  • Load customer orders onto outbound trucks
  • Accurately issue goods material to production using SAP as required.
  • 5S the logistics areas as required.
  • Work with different material handling equipment. E.g., Forklift, pallet jack, etc.
  • Work in accordance with production schedules and communicated priorities.
  • Responsible for safe handling of material unloading, storage and material movements activities.
  • Work within a computer guided inventory system
  • Basic receiving under the direction of an LSA.



OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Performing all related tasks as assigned by Management.


ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS



  • First preference given to Driver Operators on other shift, by seniority
  • Second preference given to Backup Driver Operator on current shift, by seniority
  • Third preference given to Backup Driver Operator on other shift, by seniority
  • Fourth preference given to all other Team Members



EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED



  • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Forklift Driving Certification, material handling, and OSHA courses or training.
  • Team player who is reliable, eager to learn, train and rotate through the various operations.
  • Strong dedication to team member morale, customer service, safety, quality, and delivery
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Experience operating a forklift and other material handling equipment.
  • Previous work in a manufacturing shipping and receiving environment.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • The ability to lift heavy weights (up to 50 lbs.) for short periods of time.
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours)
  • Strong communication skills
