Overview
A Senior Banking Advisor Float is responsible for delivering a premier customer experience that is second to none by helping out our customers with just about all of their consumer/retail banking needs within the designated offices! The Senior Banking Advisor Float will provide new and existing customers with resources and solutions to serve all their financial needs and will work to grow relationships that are mutually beneficial for the customer and bank. The primary responsibility for this position will be to develop and nurture customer relationships.
Responsibilities
Advisors are expected to achieve full banking relationships with customers. Therefore, being very familiar with ALL that Lake Ridge Bank has to offer is paramount to success in addition to maintaining expertise of all deposit and consumer loan products and services.
- Resolve customer needs/problems/issues and provide high quality personalized service.
- Actively sell deposit and consumer loan products and services by utilizing effective sales skills including listening, being persuasive and building confidence and trust with customers and potential customers.
- Open deposit accounts for customers including but not limited to checking, savings, CDs as well as properly completing all account paperwork.
- Process transactions such as cashing checks, account withdrawals, deposits, loan payments, etc. while properly balancing and maintaining a cash drawer.
- Follow through with onboarding new customers/new accounts.
- Promote and maintain positive relations with all internal and external contacts, customers and potential customers.
- Refer customers to other departments in the bank including but not limited to Executive Banking, Wealth Management, Mortgage Lending or Commercial Lending.
- Meet established benchmarks for individual, office, and department.
- Actively participate in sales, office and staff meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information at all times.
- Participates in community involvement/bank activities.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Complete Deposit Account and Loan Procedures Accurately and Efficiently
- Open deposit accounts for customers including but not limited to checking, savings, CDs, etc. following all bank procedures.
- Properly complete account opening/closing/updating paperwork adhering to all bank procedures.
- Utilize all bank technology for account opening/closing/updating as needed.
- Properly originate, analyze and close consumer loans including by not limited to equity, auto, personal loans, etc. while following all bank procedures.
- Utilize all bank technology for loan opening/closing/updating as needed.
- Accurately prepare reports on a timely basis for both deposit accounts and loans.
- Monitor exception reports and take action to remove exceptions as necessary.
- Serve as a back up to the CSA area, which includes processing all transactions that come through the CSA area including but not limited to cashing checks, performing withdrawals, making deposits, processing loan payments, etc. while properly balancing and maintaining a cash drawer.
Other Responsibilities:
- Complete all annual bank security and compliance training.
- Adhere to Bank Security guidelines as required for this position.
- Always maintain confidentiality of customer information
- Stay current on all compliance regulations.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in a related field and/or 3-5 years equivalent work experience in a customer services/sales environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to be able to interact and communicate with a diverse group of clients.
- Must be able to comply with SAFE Act requirements
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to make good decisions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility with the ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment
- Willingness and ability to participate in community functions where the office is involved
- Ability to represent the organization in a professional, positive manner
- Proven sales ability
- Ability to put forth the extra effort necessary to make the office a successful operation: (i.e. working additional hours that requires evenings and weekends)
- Willingness and ability to participate in community functions where the offices is involved
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Personal Banker and/or lending experience
- Strong understanding of financial products and services
Hours for this position will be between 7:45am-5:45pm Monday - Friday with occasional Saturdays 8:45am-12:15pm. Flexibility in scheduling may be needed.
