We currently have opportunities for Registered Nurses - Night Shift - 7pm - 7:00am

Position Summary
The RN is responsible for implementing and evaluating patient care on the Adult/Adolescent/Geriatric units; for providing supervision and guidance for nursing staff members; for assuming responsibilities delegated by the Chief Nursing Officer, Nurse Manager or House Supervisor; for personal and professional growth and development. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

* Completes patient admissions process, including nursing assessment.
* Documents ongoing patient assessments/progress clearly and concisely as required by hospital and regulatory agency standards.
* Medication management - administer medication and medical treatment as prescribed by a physician.
* Participates as member of interdisciplinary treatment team.
* Ensures nursing interventions.
* Provides milieu management and unit team leadership.
* Provides appropriate nursing intervention/documentation in crisis situations.
* Reports unsafe conditions.
* Provides age-specific communication, limit setting and interventions.
* Provides health education to patients and their families.
* Prepares and adheres to facility patient discharge process.
* Interacts with patients and staff in professional manner, promotes teamwork and demonstrates Service Excellence
* Attends mandatory staff meetings.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

* Graduation from an accredited nursing program. Licensed by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas (or licensed in a compact state).
* One-year psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
* CPR and hospital de-escalation certifications which can be obtained during orientation.
* Must be able to complete new hire requirements such as a nationwide background check and pre-employment drug screen.
* State and Federal Office of the Inspector General check.
