Summary;

The Sales Development Representative will play a pivotal role in supporting all aspects of the sales process, from research and outbound engagement to inbound lead management and proposal development. The responsibilities will include coordinating sales calls, support drafting RFPs, drafting outreach messaging and ensuring regular follow-up with prospects; focusing on organizations that require compliance and cybersecurity solutions. They will be tasked with consistently tracking activities in our system of record and reporting on weekly, monthly, and quarterly results to management.

This specific opening will be supporting our Risk Assurance practice which helps businesses navigate the complex world of compliance and cybersecurity, offering services like SOC 1/2/3, ISO 27001, HITRUST, HIPAA audits, penetration testing, and more. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all aspects of the sales process (research, outbound engagement, inbound lead management, coordinating sales calls, developing and maintaining proposals, responding to RFPs, and regular follow up)
  • Execute a high volume of outbound activities, including cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and other creative strategies, to identify and engage potential clients.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on pre-defined criteria, ensuring they align with our ideal client profile (ICP) and have a genuine need for our services.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads for the Account Executive team.
  • Nurture leads through consistent and timely follow-up, including reaching out to closed-lost opportunities and unresponsive prospects.
  • Accurately track and update all sales activities and lead information in our CRM system.
  • Work with management to build formalized sales playbooks for product and service offerings; establish and refine sales processes alongside management.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of solutions and services offered by our firm, along with the unique value of each practice
  • Successfully execute high-volume outbound prospecting campaigns via phone, email, and social media.
  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing prospects through a variety of warm and cold outreach.
  • Attend conferences to represent multiple products and service.
  • Facilitate seamless collaboration between the marketing and sales teams.
  • Seek feedback and actively participate in training and development opportunities to refine skills and improve overall performance.
  • Report on weekly, monthly, and quarterly results and adjust strategies based on performance data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • 1+ years of experience in sales, lead generation, or a related role
  • Experience in the compliance, risk assurance, GRC, cybersecurity, or a related IT industry is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC 1/2, ISO 27001, HITRUST, HIPAA, etc.) is a plus
  • Proficiency with CRM, marketing automation, and sales intelligence tools. Salesforce, HubSpot, and ZoomInfo is a plus
  • Proven track record of success in generating qualified leads through outbound effort
  • Strong cold calling skills and the ability to handle objections effectively
  • Coachable, learns quickly and willing to try different tactics
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new tools and software
  • High level of business acumen and professionalism
  • Pursues new opportunities for learning professional growth
  • Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail

Compensation Range: $55,000 - 70,000 base per year plus additional bonus opportunity
