Join our team at SG360 as a Receiving Clerk who will operate a variety of material handling equipment and tools to assist with all receiving, inventory, and material handling functions. Job Duties include:
- Operate lift trucks with fork or clamp attachments to perform various assigned duties.
- Operate trailer restraints, dock plates, overhead doors, and banding/wrapping equipment.
- Deliver raw materials (roll stock) to production lines, return unused material to inventory.
- Load and unload material from trucks using a fork lift/clamp truck, manual jack, or dolly.
- Utilize inventory control scanners efficiently to maintain accurate inventory.
- Verify receipt of all materials, audit packing list and shipping documents.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse and facility security.
- Assist in warehouse, scale and dock area housekeeping.
- Perform pre-shift inspections of all equipment being operated.
- Assist in training new personnel.
- Assist in inventory control of paper and other materials as needed.
- Assist other dept personnel as needed.
- Other duties as may be assigned by supervisors.
Requirements JOB SKILLS:
- Ability to operate LPG and electric lift trucks with fork & clamp attachments.
- Fluent in English oral and written communication.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents.
- Average math skills.
- Average typing and computer skills
- Average interpersonal and telephone skills.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of various types of material handling equipment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office 2000.
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
- High School diploma required.
- Safety training as required by OSHA regulations. Operation of the SG360 computer system, scanners, use of required documentation. Safe operation of lift truck equipment and re-certification of operator's license. Operation of equipment used in the shipping, receiving, and warehouse areas.
EXPERIENCE:
- One to three years of experience in warehousing or shipping and receiving, with experience operating a forklift/clamp truck.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Full motion/motor skills in all body parts. Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
