LinTech Global is looking for a Senior Proposal Writer to support our Head Quarters in McLean, VA.

Location: 100% Remote

Senior Proposal Writer (Remote)

Position Overview: This position reports to the Director of Proposal Operations and works closely with proposal, growth, and delivery personnel to write, edit, review, and produce contract-winning proposals. This position supports the capture of federal agency contracts and task orders. We seek a resource with experience delivering compelling and compliant responses to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and Sources Sought solicitations that result in awarded contracts. The Sr. Proposal Writer prepares compliant proposal responses and is primarily responsible for writing technical sections (with the support of a Solutions Architect or Delivery SME), management sections, and past performance. Further, the Sr. Proposal Writer is responsible for maintaining a reusable asset library.

Your work will involve daily deadlines and regular updates to leadership. Given the nature of federal contracting, occasional evenings and weekends are required. We need someone with high commitment and confidence who can hit the ground running. Our company has a robust platform of federal contracting vehicles, past performance, clearances, technology partnerships (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle), and certifications (e.g., ISO, CMMI). We have high expectations for success and provide full support. The Sr. Proposal Writer will have 1-3 assignments at any given time. Our team enjoys holiday happy hours, is engaged in group chats, and maintains a respectful environment.

Job Duties:



  • Conduct proactive customer/market research as needed on technical/functional areas to gain a better understanding of customer needs to shape customer-focused content
  • Collect, review, and incorporate customers' various strategic plans, ensuring we are aligning with the current goals and objectives of our customer
  • Help develop win themes and strategic messaging
  • Ensure writing is 100% compliant with proposal instructions and provides a compelling story to meet PWS/SOW requirements
  • Ensure we are providing an approach that defines how we execute the work, who executes the work, and what technologies we use
  • Collaborate via SharePoint and develop responses within established deadlines
  • Incorporate feedback from reviewers to improve drafts
  • Identify and rework existing proposal content for use in active bids
  • Use OneDrive/Teams/SharePoint collaborative platform to work on content (no local copies, no emailed copies)
  • Serve as an editor for other writers as needed
  • Enter assignment status into pipeline tracking system and keep it up to date. Present status updates during standups and any leadership meetings
  • Proactively communicate needs and issues ahead of deadlines
  • Strive for the highest proposal rating based on customers rating criteria - this is evidenced by strengths included in proposal debriefings
  • Work with the entire proposal team to ensure bid success


Job Requirements:



  • 8 years of experience in writing technical responses to Federal Government RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and Sources Sought notices.


  • Federal Defense or Civilian agency (e.g. DoD, NASA, Army, USAF, FEMA, DHA, DHS, EPA, Treasury, USACE) proposal experience
  • Verifiable track record of federal task order awards valued at $10M to $100M, and beyond
  • Verifiable track record of federal task order awards in the last 5 years within any of the following IT services technical domains: system development and engineering, system integration, enterprise IT support, cybersecurity, devsecops, cloud and cloud engineering, network operations, help/service desk support, program management, financial management, data management, or related IT services domain
  • Experience and willingness to lead Technical Approach narrative
  • Experience and willingness to lead Past Performance and Management narrative
  • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours when needed for an RFP pursuit
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong ability to work within a team and boost team morale.
  • Strong ability to work within a defined schedule and meet milestones.
  • Ability to manage communications to be an effective member of a remote team.


Required Qualifications:



  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; SharePoint, MS Teams, M365 and CoPilot
  • Strong understanding of IT methodologies (e.g. ITIL, Agile, DevSecOps)
  • Possesses technical skills to understand government requirements, solution needs, and how to articulate an award-winning proposal
  • Understanding of relevant federal acquisition regulations.
