Job Summary:
This Custodian position is a team member of the Wisconsin Union -Facilities Custodian Team. Duties include routine maintenance and cleaning, trash removal and snow removal. Training/Certification will be provided for forklift operation, skid steer operation and for operation of a variety of other machines. Work is performed under the guidance of a Custodial Services Supervisor. Responsibilities: Cleans facilities, removes waste and recycling, and monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours. Ensures cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in assigned areas.

The Wisconsin Union is a financially self-supporting division of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Financial support for the organization is provided by income earned by over thirty food service units and a variety of nonfood units such as games, guest rooms, space rentals and campus vending. Substantial support is also provided by student fees. The total annual organizational budget is approximately $60 million dollars.
