The Position

The Project Manager for the Strengthening Community Colleges Training Grants (SCC5) will be responsible for overseeing, implementing, and executing all aspects of the SCC5 program at Ocean County College, the fiduciary of the grant. This Project Manager will oversee the execution of the program in alignment with both the grant's guidelines and the institutions' goals while working closely with the two additional consortium institutions, participants, and industry partners. This individual will lead the coordination of program activities and manage the program's funds, operations, and reporting. This role will manage a team of professionals, collaborate with the administrators of two other institutions to ensure a seamless program implementation, provide accurate financial oversight, track and analyze program data, and ensure all programmatic deliverables are met effectively. This position is grant-funded through 01/31/2029. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding.

What You Will Do
-
1. Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of the SCC5 grant that will provide skills development for students with a focus on assisting students to secure positions in in-demand industries. Collaborate with stakeholders to clearly define the project objectives, deliverables, and timelines aligned with the SCC5 requirements. 2. Oversee all aspects of grant award compliance, including collaboration with the Accounting Department for financial reporting, monitoring against approved budgets, and identifying potential variances. Ensure accurate data collection for reporting and compliance according to grant terms, project timelines, and key deliverables. 3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with partners throughout the consortium and initiate programs through a collaborative effort while engaging community partners and other industry stakeholders to support program goals; serve as the primary point of contact for all external partners related to the grant. 4. Develop comprehensive project plans including work breakdown structures, resource allocation, and risk management strategies; monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement corrective action. 5. Establish clear communication channels and expectations with all project team members and stakeholders. 6. Provides direct supervision to staff; hires, train, and recruits new employees; employs College policies and procedures in the oversight of the SCC5 grant; recommends professional development to remain current within the industry. 7. Maintain SCC5 Grant Policy & Procedures Manual that embodies the requirements of program statutes, regulations, and policy statements. 8. Work with College Relations and IT in creating and updating the website landing page and advertising of the SCC5 Grant. 9. Develop and execute a recruitment strategy to attract participants to the program; organize outreach activities, including informational sessions and community events; monitor and assess recruitment efforts to ensure targets are met. 10. Manage program relationships and collaborate with two other partner institutions, ensuring alignment on goals, timelines, and reporting requirements. 11. Perform other related duties and initiatives as assigned.

The Successful Candidate Must Have
-
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Six years of experience in a combination of the following: (1) providing project management leadership in a healthcare or higher education environment; (2) strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; (3) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; (4) Experience with leading multi-disciplinary and geographically dispersed teams; (5) Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Monday.com, Microsoft Project, Jira, Zendesk); (6) Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Three years of experience supervising employees; and demonstrated management process skills needed to effectively plan, organize, implement, direct, motivate, control and evaluate department programs and personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, the Internet and database systems that also required the ability to conduct research, prepare detailed reports and documents, and deliver basic training on required systems.

- PMP Certification.
- Knowledge of Financial Systems.
- Knowledge of Healthcare IT.
- Experienced in grants program management and prioritizing multiple time sensitive initiatives with conflicting deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in healthcare program development.
- Project scheduling systems experience, such as MS Project, Primavera, Cloud Coach, SFDC AppExchange, JIRA, etc.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
