Quality Technician ($21.57 - $26.10)
Overview $1.50/hr. shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift ($21.57-$26.10) Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties. Responsibilities
Perform dimensional inspections from customer drawings with some complexity of GD&T and visual inspection throughout the fabrication and assembly process.
Qualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent; six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE ABILITY Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. MATH ABILITY Ability to work with fractions, percentages, and both imperial and metric measurements. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry preferred. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Must be able to use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, tape measures, etc; must be able to read blueprints WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
