We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Developer with 7 to 9 years of experience in Python and Kafka to join our diverse team. The ideal candidate will work in a hybrid model primarily during day shifts. This role does not require travel. The Sr. Developer will contribute to the development of innovative solutions that drive our companys success and positively impact society.

• Develop and maintain high-quality Python applications to meet business requirements.
• Experience in data acquisition data set process improving data reliability quality and efficiency
• Experience developing in Python using Spark and other data tool
• Familiar with AWS technologies like Glue S3 and RedShift
• Experience developing in Kafka
• Experience with large data sets to address business issues
• Experience with modern software delivery practices including source control testing continuous delivery
• Experience delivering product with Agile methodologies
• Design and Implementation: Own the design construction and optimization of systems for data collection data transformation.
• Data Pipeline Management: Build and maintain data pipelines used by both data scientists and business analysts.
• Teamwork and Interpretation: Work closely with our internal and external SME to tackle issues as well as with our data scientists and analysts to efficiently apply our curated data and translate sophisticated datasets into actionable insights.
• Data Visualization infrastructure: Assist with the development and maintenance of our reporting infrastructure (in terms of data pipelines that foster our dashboards reports and custom visualizations etc).
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement enhancements in data processing efficiency integrity and quality with a sharp eye towards elevating the standards of our data handling practices.

Qualifications

• Possess strong proficiency in Python programming language.
• Demonstrate knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML CSS and JavaScript.
• Show familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Understand database management systems both SQL and NoSQL.
• Exhibit problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Certified Python Developer or equivalent certification will be an added advantage.

The annual salary for this position is between (95,500 - 109,000) depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
