Position Summary

The person in this position is responsible for development, designing, testing, coding and integrating software for gaming products. Troubleshoots and debugs software defects. Reviews, interprets, and executes software/embedded requirements and specifications

Essential Job Functions:

  • Creating, integrating, and modifying gaming software for Video Lottery Terminals while following jurisdictional requirements

  • Develop expert knowledge of GDK code base and subsystems and contribute to its development, advancement, and maintenance

  • Seek improvements to existing code and processes

  • Follow and maintain up to date knowledge on internal coding standards, engineering best practices, and team processes in all tasks

  • Collaborate with other developers, artists, and testers

Training and/or Experience:

  • Three to six years of professional programming experience on a software development team

  • Proficient in C#, C++ development, Object Oriented programming and design patterns

  • Experience with development tools including IDEs, debuggers, bug tracking and source control systems

  • Must be able to acquire and hold a Nevada Gaming License

  • Strong attention to detail * Ability to learn with a growth mindset is essential.

  • Ability to multi-task and work independently

Qualifications

Preferred Experience:

  • Game Development experience preferred

  • Unity or equivalent game engine is strongly preferred

  • Confluence, Jira, or equivalent project development tools preferred

  • Software design and architecture experience preferred

  • Agile Development practices

  • Linux/Unix experience is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
