Position Description: Responsible for overseeing the maintenance and facilities operations for multiple locations for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. This includes the management of all HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as vendor oversight for day-to-day maintenance services. Serves as the primary point of contact for all facility-related issues, ensuring proper communication and resolution of maintenance concerns while keeping Store Managers, District Managers, and the Director of Facilities & Construction informed. This role also requires hands-on involvement when necessary to support store operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees all aspects of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems for over 100 retail locations.
- Manages a third-party maintenance vendor responsible for routine repairs and service calls.
- Ensures all work orders are communicated and completed efficiently through the company's CMMS or work order system.
- Provides on-call support for urgent maintenance issues, coordinating emergency repairs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and managing the on-call technicians.
- Performs inspections and ensures compliance with safety, building, and operational standards.
- Ensures preventive maintenance programs are in place and executed to minimize downtime.
- Manages capital improvements, renovations, and major facility upgrades as needed.
- Acts as the primary liaison between the company and contracted vendors, ensuring service quality and cost control.
- Reviews vendor performance, negotiates contracts, and ensures adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Manages the annual facilities budget, tracking costs and identifying opportunities for savings.
- Provides quarterly trend reports on maintenance issues, spending, and performance metrics.
- Keeps Store Managers, District Managers, and the Director of Facilities & Construction updated on maintenance issues, project statuses, and resolutions.
- Works collaboratively with internal teams to ensure stores remain operational and safe.
- Provides guidance to vendors and ensures accountability for completed work.
- Leads change management initiatives related to facility improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Ensures compliance with all OSHA, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Responsible for performance management (coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews), staffing, compensation, and development of Team Members.
- Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years' of experience in facilities management, preferably in a multi-state retail environment and prior leadership experience, with coaching, mentoring, and supervising.
- Experience managing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance services.
- Strong vendor management skills, including contract negotiation and performance oversight.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to coordinate with executives, store teams, and vendors.
- Experience managing capital projects, remodels, or major maintenance initiatives.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency and cost-reduction strategies for facility operations.
- Strong proficiency in CMMS/work order systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work on-call for emergencies and urgent facility needs.
- Strong planning and execution skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
- Strong MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid driver's license, clean MVR, and ability to travel between store locations as needed.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
