Summary: The Director of Implementation, Contract Logistics oversees the successful deployment of operational and management solutions for new business implementations. This role ensures that company requirements and customer expectations are met by establishing business controls, managing project timelines and budgets, and directing on-site teams. The director develops comprehensive project plans, mitigates risks, and maintains collaboration with senior leadership.

What You'll Be Doing:


  • Full understanding of the operations requirements and implementing strategies and initiatives to meet or exceed company requirements and customer expectations.
  • Deploy operational and management solutions and establish business controls and processes to support new business implementations.
  • Provide project management and guidance to team members to ensure timeline and budget compliance.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to the on-site team and communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the full scope of work, including contracts, requirements, dependencies, schedules, budget, logistics, labor, materials, equipment, and other pertinent project needs.
  • Create and manage cohesive project programs and plans with identifiable critical paths, task dependencies, risk/issue mitigation processes, and significant milestones.
  • Work with business process owners to identify and scope areas of opportunity.
  • Creatively scope, manage and implement projects to meet business needs.
  • Establish solid collaboration and working relationships with senior leadership to support company goals.
  • Direct, manage and implement project execution plan.
  • Hold others accountable for project commitments and performance standards.
  • Influence and empower site management without authority to achieve implementation success.
  • Ensure Best Practices are implemented for all projects.
  • Provide feedback and appropriately escalate risks and/or project roadblocks.
  • Recognize and manage operational risks; implement best practices and provide a safe work environment.
  • Analyze and document the process to the Scope of Work.
  • Establish a strong 5S adherence.


What You Need:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.

Experience: 8 years of experience in contract logistics management (3PL), managing multiple complex implementations simultaneously of varying scope and size.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills:
*Ability to shift priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
* Working knowledge of and experience in warehousing, distribution, inventory planning and management, network analysis, and materials management.

* Experience with financial management and business integration

* Availability to work extended hours, with intermittent extensive travel.

*Previous experience integrating new business and launching customer accounts.

* Proven leadership and collaboration skills with experience effectively supervising, coaching, and influencing employees.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

*Ability to travel extensively as required for project implementations.

*Capability to work in warehouse and logistics environments, which may involve standing, walking, and moving around facilities for extended periods.

*Occasional lifting of materials, documents, or equipment related to project management.

*Ability to work long hours, including extended shifts and weekends, to meet implementation deadlines.

*Multitasking & Problem-Solving: Ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously and resolve operational challenges on the spot.

*Collaboration & Leadership: Managing and influencing teams across different locations without direct authority, requiring strong leadership and communication skills.
