Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a DevSecOps Developer to work on our DevSecOps team. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our REC facility with every other Friday off. Develop innovative engineered solutions using current and emerging computing technologies. Apply experience in software and hardware engineering principles, theories, concepts, and technologies with complex engineered systems. Responsibilities Include:
- Apply software engineering principles, theories, and concepts to complex analytical processes and information display and visualization.
- Plan, develop, and implement software-engineering solutions to complex problems and major projects.
- Work to support project plans and requirements, establish scope, cost, and schedule estimates for design and development activities.
- Participate in technical reviews for projects at various phases of development and provide recommendations for computer technology solutions to customers and management.
- Maintain and upgrade a variety of systems, as well as develop new software capabilities.
- Create and review new methodologies and architectures that advance the organization's mission.
- Ensure compliance with INL's safety, security, environmental, health, and quality assurance requirements.
- Document activities, reports, and existing technologies.
- Write and present technical papers representing INL.
- Review and analyze source code and system design documentation, reports from users, and other technical artifacts to create reports and present to other staff and management assessments of code quality, the probable origin and implications of defects and anomalies, and recommendations for improvements and enhancements.
- Engage in professional development to maintain technical proficiency in current and emerging technologies.
- Utilize expertise to define strategic direction in assigned areas.
- Review training plans and help lead the organization forward.
- Mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications
Required:
- Level 3: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer information systems, information technology, or a related field and 5 years of relevant experiences; or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer information systems, information technology, or a related field and 2 years of experience; or a high school diploma and 11 years of relevant experience.
- Level 4: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer information systems, information technology, or a related field and 9 years of relevant experiences; or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer information systems, information technology, or a related field and 6 years of experience; or a high school diploma and 15 years of relevant experience.
- Relevant experience using Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as Visual Studio or VS Code.
- Create and maintain deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps using YAML and best practices.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Microsoft T-SQL Certification, Oracle PL/SQL Certification, Comp TIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Server Certification,
- ServiceNow Certification, Azure certification, are desirable.
- Experience mentoring others and leading technical tasks.
- Experience using Jira or a similar tool.
- Experience with .NET 6 and .NET Core, C#, SQL Server, or similar.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and NET WebAPI interfaces.
- Experience with Oracle PLSQL.
- Experience with NoSQL Databases such as MongoDB and Neo4J.
- Experience with LINQ to SQL and Entity Framework.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment using Azure DevOps.
- Experience with other development languages (Python, Go/Golang, C/C++, etc.).
- Experience with Agile, Kanban development methodologies.
- Experience with Dapper, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap.
- PAAS, IAC, CI/CD and SDLC best practices.
- SQL management (not just writing SQL), scalability (containerization and orchestration).

Job Information:
- The pay range for this position is: Level 3 ($93,204 - $191,076) / Level 4 ($111,888 - $229,284). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
- TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
- Multi-Level: This is a multi-level posting and you will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on depth and breadth of proven experience and skills.
