The Maintenance department at RAMC is looking for an individual to join them!

Monday - Friday

Weekend Rotation

On Call Rotation

7AM - 3:30 or 8AM - 4:30

(Hours can be flexible)

Position Summary:

The Maintenance III (General) shall, under the direction of the Director and/or Assistant Director of Environmental Services, assist the operation maintenance and repair of RAMC physical plant. As part of this position, the Maintenance Mechanic III assists in the completion of projects, as assigned. He/she will work with Biomedical equipment and biomedical contractors to identify and correct deficiencies, while maintaining State and TJC standards. He/she follows directions of the Assistant Director of Environmental Services. The Maintenance Mechanic III must have good working knowledge of both boilers and chillers, and be capable of doing the boiler safeties and boiler/chiller chemistries. This individual shall also have a working knowledge of the Energy Management System (Metasys), fire alarm system (Simplex), the medical gas system and be well versed in the corrective measures to be taken in the event of a utilities failure. This individual must take call


Job Relationships:

Reports to Director of Environmental Services and Assistant Director of Maintenance; collaborates with all maintenance staff and other departments/staff of RAMC.


Education and Training Required:

High school graduate or equivalent.

Electrical Technical school a plus.

Five (5) years experience preferred.


Experience:

Strong background and knowledge in physical plant operation

Able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.

Capable of assisting in small remodeling projects, which could include building walls, electrical and some plumbing. Demonstrates strong working knowledge of computers, their operation and programming.

Functions competently and effectively during periods of stress.

Frequently requires using fine motor skills for operation of power and hand tools computer keyboard and telephone.

Sight:

Continuously provide visual acuity with correction to 20/40 to read written materials and operate equipment and vehicles.

Cognition/Communication:

Occasionally requires communicating effectively with other staff and customers using hearings kills, comprehensive speech, simple writing, and simple reading skills.

Occasionally communicates using various methods available: telephone, paging, email, print or in person.

Occasionally requires simple math skills in working with blue prints and other plan documents.
