About the Role: As a Space Strategist, you will be responsible for supporting the customer in facilitating Command-level communications for space applications, and its partners, subsidiaries and affiliates, to conduct and support; space system and industrial base ecosystem policy analysis and planning; space system and supply chain analysis; risk mitigation assessment and planning; risk mitigation investment; industrial base and supply chain acquisition. What You Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications or similar discipline required
- Master's degree in Journalism, English or Communications preferred, but can be substituted with experience
- Previous experience in Space domain preferred
- Expert in executive communications
- Effective communication and presentation
- Demonstrated experience using MS Office including (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good understanding of public speaking
- Excellent writing and editing skills, i.e., spelling, grammar punctuation, etc.
- Strong work ethic, verbally articulate and detail-oriented, with a support the team attitude
- Experience with writing speeches and talking points for senior military leaders
What You Will Do:
- Present the current and planned industrial base supply chain risks along critical paths and mission critical manufacturing value chain in order to map the overall space industrial base ecosystem to include assessing for risks and opportunities and developing a long-term investment strategy in conjunction with customer's policies to ensure effective implementation.
- Provide support to customer in presenting industry and supply chain partners compliance with customer policy, regulations, technical requirements and security protocols.
- Support the development, coordination and implementation of customer policy and acquisition planning in order to improve supply chain security and resiliency to ensure U.S. dominance in the space warfare and supporting industrial base domain.
- Present current and projected industrial base risks and opportunities within the customer's portfolio and space systems along manufacturing value chain models, capabilities and capacities.
- Present overall critical industrial base requirements, supply sources and materials, space technologies, manufacturing capabilities and partnerships required to further protect and promote interests towards "assured" standards.
- Advise on program management and technical direction.
- Provide recommendations on solving complex technical, administrative and management problems.
- Advise management at all levels on allocation and prioritization of resources to facilitate program control.
