D471 fluid system engineers are required to provide technical support for reactor plant fluid systems on LOS ANGELES, OHIO, SEAWOLF and VIRGINIA Class commissioned submarines. The engineer will also support fluid systems for Naval Nuclear Power Training Units, Moored Training Ships and the S8G Prototype. This position requires resolution of a wide variety of technical challenges in a fast paced environment. Technical expertise and knowledge of reactor plant fluid systems, Military and Federal specifications, welding, fasteners, materials, mechanical equipment, and general methods of manufacturing will be developed by frequently using these skills in performing technical evaluations.
