Description

Atlantic Union's Enterprise Internship program is a professional development opportunity for local students to gain practical work experience, helping students become better prepared to enter into the financial industry post-graduation. Students have the ability to build professional networks and receive training and mentoring throughout the program.

This internship role is designed to play an important role in bringing our brand to life across a number of creative assets and ensuring consistency in how we show up in the marketplace to our customers, prospects and clients. Day-to-day this role will be responsible for assisting our in-house photographer/videographer on shoots and post-shoot editing. The role will collaborate closely with other members of our creative team.

Position Accountabilities



  • Ideate potential video and photo topics, including building storyboards
  • Assist on-site for client testimonials
  • Take headshots across our bank footprint for Teammates
  • Edit photography for use in our advertising, collateral, website, etc.
  • Edit short video projects, including interviews, webinars, and other branded content
  • Manage to a list of deliverables and their required changes and associated deadlines
  • Translate desired intent and feedback into recommendations
  • Prepare and send files for production, or final destination, including details on specs


Organizational Relationship

This position will report to the Content Manager

Position Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Position Requirements



  • Must be at least 18 years' old
  • Currently working on a degree in photography, videography, marketing or advertising
  • Excellent photography, videography and editing skills to produce final collateral
  • Behind camera experience, both video, and photography equipment
  • Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalents
  • Experience the creative marketing planning process for new campaigns and projects
  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university is required, and Students must be undergraduates entering their junior or senior year or currently pursuing a graduate level degree
  • Position is hybrid. Must be available to work a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday, within Richmond, VA, including 3 in-person days at our 4300 Cox Road location. Travel may be required for shoots.
  • Must submit a resume and cover letter highlighting accomplishments, professional and academic goals, and expectations of this internship position, a portfolio of work is recommended
  • Submission of transcripts and two professional or academic references

  • Photography, videography, and editing skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities within specified time frames and operate with high efficiency
  • Strategic thinker: Ability to collect, organize, and synthesize information to make a decision, recommendation, or present a POV
  • Strong team orientation and ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with an ability to effectively multi-task, establish priorities, manage to deadlines, navigate effectively through change and deliver results
  • Ability to guide and influence across all levels and functions
  • Quick learner - must be eager to independently learn about industry and relevant solutions
