POSITION OVERVIEW: Inspire and equip the next generation of diverse scientists, engineers, and mathematicians! The Summer 2025 Assistant Outreach Coordinator will co-facilitate welcoming and inclusive programs for diverse 6-12th grade students to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) college and career pathways during their on-campus summer programs at the University of Minnesota - College of Science and Engineering (CSE). The Assistant Outreach Coordinator will work closely with the team of undergraduate outreach assistants to lead on-campus summer programming, including orientation, dynamic morning meetings, and around campus programming. They will supervise, support, and potentially lead hands-on STEM lessons while maintaining a safe and respectful environment for the staff and youth participants. This position requires the ability to work in person on the Twin Cities campus from 8:00am-4:30pm CST Monday-Friday starting approximately Tuesday, May 20 through Friday, August 22, 2025 (with the exception of the University holidays on Memorial Day, June 19th, and July 4th). This is a full-time, seasonal position with an hourly wage of $25.00/hour. The Assistant Outreach Coordinator and a team of four undergraduate Outreach Assistants will support and report to the CSE Outreach Coordinator. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
