Inova Health is looking for a dedicated Sr. Financial Performance Analyst - Revenue Cycle to join the Team. This remote role will be full-time day-shift working Monday - Friday. The Sr. Financial Performance Analyst - Revenue Cycle serves as the senior data analyst for the Financial Performance Analytics department. Analyzes financial trends (complex) for improvement and efficiency opportunities. Works with leadership and other health system teams on system-wide and ad-hoc projects spanning across service lines and divisions. Serves as financial resource in report logic development, process design, and project implementation. Leads data gathering, data validation, and reporting processes for internal and external financial analytics reporting. Sr. Financial Performance Analyst - Revenue Cycle Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with operational service line leaders, Finance, Information Technology, Analytics and other departments on ad-hoc and system-wide projects.
- Analyzes complex data sources containing financial data, costs, revenue trends, and performance metrics for areas of opportunities and proposes recommendations for improvement and efficiency.
- Assists in the preparation of written reports and/or oral presentations on projects to internal audiences, service line and executive leaders, and external audiences (as necessary).
- Develops and tests reports and analyses from various sources (e.g. financial ERP, electronic health records, benchmark tools).
- Serves as financial analytics resource for development of report logic, process design and implementation of medium- to complex projects and processes (e.g. cost accounting).
- Leads data gathering and reporting of financial and statistical metrics on state and external surveys (e.g. VHI, AHA)
- Reviews processes and projects to ensure proper data definitions are defined and data integrity is upheld throughout all reports and dashboards.
- Works with Data Management & Business Intelligence team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to internal stakeholders and external partners.
Sr. Financial Performance Analyst - Revenue Cycle Additional Requirements:
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, remote
- Education: Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of experience in addition to the minimum experience required
- Experience: 5 years in Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Business, Statistics, related field or equivalent operational experience
Sr. Financial Performance Analyst - Revenue Cycle Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in financial and revenue cycle analytics & modeling with the ability to demonstrate the link between payer performance, net revenue to income statement benefit preferred
- Experience with operational root cause analysis and write-offs preferred
- Professional Billing Finance experience preferred
- Epic Single Billing Office (SBO) experience preferred
- Strata and/or HPM experience preferred
- Experience working with PowerBI, T-SQL, and expert Excel skills preferred
