JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of the Monitoring Specialist is to play a key role in our company by correct data entry of customer information, review data within multiple systems, execute the monitoring agreement process, and aid Technicians with pulling historical records for onsite services. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible for supporting the growth of the fire alarm & security services through daily administration of monitoring data, accounts, and support.
- Organize and maintain accurate data for all monitoring accounts.
- Customer's data updated.
- Organize and help administer the transfer of new accounts from acquisitions.
- Audit existing data for accuracy and relevance.
- Central Stations
- Set up and update monitoring accounts' information in Central station and/or other internal systems.
- Maintain relationships with central stations, in coordination with Supervisor, as assigned.
- Ensure internal data and Central Station data are accurate.
- Review and ensure UL System compliance, in coordination with Supervisor, as assigned.
- As necessary, coordinate Technicians performing onsite services including access and review Central Station and/or other internal systems for record history of inquired systems.
- Perform validation and completion of the monitoring agreement requirements in coordination with the assigned branch: ensure internal processes are followed: account set up, billing, and work assigned was performed.
- Agreements
- Ensure execution of monitoring agreements.
- Ensure that the agreements reflect the subsidiary accurately.
- Facilitate non-standard agreements are reviewed by legal.
- Billing
- Work with accounting to ensure accuracy of customer billing.
- Ensure accuracy of cost with central stations.
- Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: The qualifications listed below are representative of the elements required to perform the job successfully, however in some cases, an equivalent combination of Education, Training, Certifications and Experience may meet the job qualifications. Education, Training, Certifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, preferred; or equivalent experience (5+ years) in the Fire Protection Industry (Fire or Security).
Experience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements:
- 5 years of professional computer skills.
- 5 years Fire Protection Industry experience, preferred.
- 2 years Central Station experience, preferred.
Communication Skills:
- Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.
Systems and Software Skills:
- Ability to operate a computer and advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) experience required.
- 3 years business intelligence systems, Timberline Sage 300 CRE, or similar ERP or CRM.
Other Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
- Must be able to comply with SFP's Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement.
