Job Summary:

The Revenue Manager supports the Senior Director, Revenue in ensuring the integrity of world-wide revenue by providing technical expertise, business sense, and a strong desire to improve processes and controls. Serves as a partner to Belden's businessunits to ensure that customer contracts are accounted for in accordance with the Company's policies.

Responsibilities:



  • Review contracts with customers for proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with business unit management and accounting personnel.
  • Ensure the integrity of key processes by understanding systems, flow of transactions, internal controls and recommending efficiency and effectiveness improvements. Work with IT to prioritize system enhancements and development projects related to revenue.
  • Responsible for refining and improving all Company accounting policies related to revenue.
  • Evaluate the impact of new and emerging accounting guidance, identify and recommend process and policy changes, and drive implementation roll-outs.
  • Provide periodic revenue training to Belden's business units.
  • Assist with all revenue disclosures in the Company's SEC filings.
  • Ensure business units are properly utilizing revenue related accounts in the Company's consolidation system.
  • Special projects as needed



Required Skills and Experience



  • Master's degree in accounting preferred; CPA Required
  • Extensive knowledge of ASC 606
  • Strong SEC reporting skills and extensive knowledge of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles
  • Minimum of three years of experience in public accounting
  • Experience with FCCS software helpful
  • Strong organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Highly dependable and self-motivated
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
