Job Description

TEL is currently recruiting for a tenured Technologist to work onsite at our Portland, OR facility.

Responsibilities

- Initiates the design, development, execution and implementation of technology research projects.

- Investigates the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products.

- Plans and executes applied research.

- Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories, and may contribute to scientific literature and conferences.

- Direct interdisciplinary R&D/engineering efforts to innovate and develop key technology modules for next gen process

- Guide test and advanced package process development for advanced logic, memory, and emerging devices through experimental design, data analysis and modeling

- Work with cross functional teams, act as a technical liaison between IDM/foundry/OSATs customers, internal product engineering and R&D teams

- Interact with internal and external customers on strategic projects. Includes creating and presenting reports on current projects and activities.

- Initiate and foster collaborations with external R&D and academia as needed

- Generate novel technology IP that gives TEL a competitive advantage

- Present findings internally and externally through briefings, conferences, and publication in peer-reviewed journals

- Research for HPC/AI/SiPho device trend

- Technical marketing of testing and advanced packaging equipment for HPC/AI/SiPho Device

- Product marketing and promotion of die and wafer prober for HPC/AI/SiPho device

- Advanced packaging process research and analysis for yield improvement, and create solutions

- Support for customer collaboration in early-stage projects

Typical Education and Experience

PhD with at least 10 years of related experience in semiconductor industry

Assembly and Test area experience

High-Performance Computing(HPC) related experience

Co-Packaged Optics(CPO) related experience
