Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Parts Expeditor / Validator to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely movement of parts and materials through the production process, verifying accuracy, and coordinating with suppliers and internal departments to prevent delays. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and experience in inventory control or logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expedite the flow of parts and materials to support production schedules and minimize downtime.
  • Validate incoming and outgoing parts for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Fabrication to prevent shortages.
  • Track and update the status of orders, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any delays.
  • Communicate with production, warehouse, and procurement teams to prioritize urgent orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts movement, inspections, and discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to incorrect shipments, damaged parts, or order discrepancies.
  • Assist in cycle counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy
Requirements:
  • Experience in parts expediting, inventory control, logistics, or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret part numbers, specifications, and purchase orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Forklift certification or experience (preferred but not required).
Work Environment:
  • Industrial or warehouse setting with exposure to manufacturing operations.
  • Requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
