As a Capital System Operations Manager in Core Operations, you will lead a team of high-performing associates who are responsible for global short-term cash management, cash projections, foreign currency management, and broader cash and positions enablement. Your leadership will ensure the team excels in delivering accurate and timely cash projections, managing currency exposures, and delivering precise cash and positions to our Investment Group and broader Investment Operations Teams.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will serve as a business owner and data steward for the Capital System investment applications and related operational processes. This role involves overseeing the integrity and accuracy of investment data, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and continuously improving the systems and processes that support the organization's investment activities.

Your strategic vision and expertise will spearhead cross-functional initiatives focused on enhancing operational efficiency and defining the people, processes, and technology needed for future success. Additionally, you will build strong relationships with internal and external partners, gain a deep understanding of industry products and practices, and leverage this knowledge to drive operational effectiveness and propel the business forward.

Core Operations teams fulfill middle and back-office capabilities supporting the investment process, distribution efforts, and long- term growth strategies of the Capital Group. Our teams focus on activities such as daily valuation of securities, trade operations, corporate actions, collateral management, reference data management, accounting, financial reporting, and determining the net asset value for the investment portfolios available to our global clients. The department's strong accounting and operations capabilities, along with the agility to build new capabilities, enable superior investment outcomes and service for our clients.

  • You have a master's or bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics or related field.
  • You have 5 + years' experience in an investment operations or asset management setting with a focus on cash management
  • You're a people leader with 3+ years of experience. You've directly managed people including a range of experience levels, capabilities, and working styles.
  • You are courageous in sharing real-time, constructive feedback to help your team grow and better deliver on priorities.
  • You achieve sustainable results with appropriate risk and controls without compromising standards or accountabilities.
  • You do well in high pressure moments with strong problem-solving skills and are able to prioritize the most critical matters for resolution while managing multiple stakeholders
  • You take the time to create and maintain meaningful relationships and establishing trust. You're a generous collaborator. You've fine-tuned your communication style to influence a variety of personalities.
  • When developing a vision, you consider long term impacts and make a personal commitment to exploring diverse perspectives and dissenting viewpoints.
Hampton Roads Base Salary Range: $115,475-$184,760

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
