Our Preconstruction Manager role is someone who thrives in a fast-paced, fun, and collaborative environment. The role is responsible for implementing and managing the full Preconstruction planning process, from initial pursuit to construction kickoff. The Manager will lead the project efforts alongside the Project Executive to ensure full team involvement with a field-first focus on constructability and logistics planning. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to contract requirements throughout Preconstruction.
- Assist Project Executive with project communication and coordination.
- Organize Preconstruction kickoff meetings and activities.
- Participate in project design coordination meetings and collaboration.
- Organize Preconstruction schedule, design milestones, bid strategies, procurement planning, permit strategies, and client schedule requirements.
- Review and track project risks, budget, scope, contract, drawings/ specs quality control, and schedules.
- Monitor project progress and identify critical issues/ solutions to set project up for success.
- Maintain project constructability collaboration and tracking of issues and risks.
- Facilitate and participate in building system/ life cycle value analysis with project team.
- Collaboration with project team on construction schedule strategy and communication to client.
- Support the project team Construction kickoff.
- Cultivate relationships and outreach efforts with BC team, clients, architects/ engineers, and trade partners/ vendors.
- Coordinate and evaluate all Preconstruction deliverables while monitoring client initiatives are met, generating cost/ value options, and developing proactive solutions to project challenges.
- Ensure client satisfaction and adherence to project goals throughout Preconstruction.
- Provide reporting data on current projects to management and Operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or any applicable degree program.
- 5 or more years of Industry experience, including managerial.
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication/ writing skills.
- Understanding of project lifecycle: pursuits/ proposals, contracting, preconstruction, construction operations & management, warranty, etc.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Scheduling software, VDC software.
- Valid Texas drivers' license and meet company's auto insurability requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10 or more years of Industry experience, including managerial.
