Duties and Responsibilities


  • Strategic Content Management: In coordination with key stakeholders, implement comprehensive web content strategies that enhance user experience and align with Stritch goals. This includes understanding and communicating user needs, preferences, and behaviors in support of creating a best-in-class digital experience. It also requires gaining a strong understanding of overall Stritch School goals and culture in order to provide guidance and support to its various departments and stakeholders.

  • Collaboration with UX and Technical Teams: As part of UMC Digital, work closely with IT as needed to ensure that web content meets user expectations and seamlessly integrates with overall site design and functionality.

  • Web Content Management: Provide timely, daily support for web contributors, overseeing training, maintenance, and governance to ensure content remains fresh, relevant, and in compliance with brand standards.

  • Data-Driven Content Decisions: Utilize analytics and user feedback to guide content decisions, focusing on optimizing website performance and user engagement.

  • Accessibility Compliance and SEO: Ensure consistent and thorough implementation of SEO and accessibility best practices, meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards at a minimum.

  • Content Audits and Analysis: Conduct content audits and gap analyses to identify areas for improvement, ensuring web content consistently meets user needs and business objectives.

  • Advocate for Best Practices: Serve as on-site subject matter expert, providing guidance and expertise on web content best practices and standards, staying current with industry trends and advancements.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate with stakeholders to report on web content performance, strategies, and insights, fostering transparency and collaboration.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education and/or Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, advertising, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in writing/editing communications for all platforms.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of digital marketing experience; agency, healthcare, or university environment preferred.
  • At least 4 years proven web content management experience, focusing on user experience.
  • Deep understanding of UX principles and how they inform content strategy.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret web metrics and user feedback.
  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong organization, communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience working with e-mail campaigns
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft and Google suites, and Slack
  • Ability to stay current with industry trends and best practices in web content and digital marketing.
