How you will make history here...

Under the guidance of the Associate Director - Ingredients, this position is responsible for serving as Campbell's Ingredients Procurement Sourcing Center of Excellence, managing Campbell's 7 Step Sourcing Process and applying best in class analytics capability across all ingredient RFx activities. The individual will also be responsible for designing and executing the sourcing strategy for different categories of direct ingredients.

This position manages a wide range of analytical support across the entire Campbell ingredient portfolio ranging from, but not limited to, agriculture, commodities, proteins, food grade chemicals, freight, supplier diversity, sourcing technology platforms, energy and more. The incumbent will partner with Procurement Category Managers to run key category analysis that supports decision making and adds value to Campbell's objectives. The candidate should be familiar and able to navigate medium to large corporate environments, with high proficiency in cross-functional stakeholder management including R&D, Quality, Supply Chain & Manufacturing, Sustainability, Regulatory, Legal, as well as external suppliers. This is an exciting new position for a candidate who is a self-starter and that desires a high visibility, high impact role within a fast-paced atmosphere and company that is growing.

What you will do...

  • Apply the strategic sourcing model and implement activities and processes that meet our financial standard requirements, support Ingredients Procurement Department with analytical tools that facilitate decision making, assess price and/or supply risk across business units and plant network.
  • Lead E-Auction strategy and process. Support overall team with market analysis, including but not limited to spend analysis, SWOT analysis, Porters Five-Forces, fundamental and technical price analysis, weather analysis.
  • Interact with leaders across the organization and proactively influence change towards developing competitive advantages for Campbell's. Support buyers in collaboration with Marketing, R&D and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) teams, assisting implementation of company-wide procurement strategies aimed to support efforts on brand value, product innovation and environmental and social goals.
  • Prepare monthly commodity volume projections used to support Treasury CRM (Commodity Risk Management) program. Source new technology platforms and the use of AI to support RFx analysis and/or other procurement functions, tools, formats.
  • Ongoing activities include strategic sourcing, varying degrees of analytical support, conduct supplier and ingredients segmentation. support innovation and continuous improvement opportunities with internal stakeholders and/or external suppliers.
  • Responsible for managing sourcing calendar and RFx pipeline from start to finish, encompassing a full force and disruptive E-auction strategy.
  • Ensure project management timelines on all sourcing events in preparation for supplier negotiations and contracting. Commitment to Campbell's Code of conduct.

What you bring to the table (must have) ...

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years' experience in procurement or supply chain

It would be great to have...

  • BS in business, agribusiness, or supply chain
  • MBA or MS in business related field preferred
  • Knowledge of Procurement as a function within a corporate setting and associated KPI's, as well as high degree of familiarity with strategic sourcing activities/processes.
  • Some knowledge of agricultural markets.
  • Excellent Excel skills required, as well as managerial and project management skills.
  • Ability to apply the 7 steps of strategic sourcing model.
  • Good scenario planning skills and building analysis that helps influence key decisions.
  • Ability to create new and cultivate existing relations, both internally and externally
  • Ability to work independently and with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to present and manage interaction at all organizational levels.
  • Manages large, complex, and/or multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Persuasive and influential skills to bring to life new ideas in terms of product or process improvement.
  • Proficient communication, decision making, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to conduct some statistical work.
  • Knowledge and experience analyzing complex projects with both quantitative and qualitative datasets.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$63,500-$91,300

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
