Practice Management FP&A is responsible for the planning, forecasting, and reporting for over 2,000 US Oncology providers across the country and over 200M in IT & HQ operating expenses to support future growth in the Oncology Ecosystem. McKesson is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the IT & HQ FP&A team for Practice Management.

The Director of Finance will own all budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for USON IT & HQ Operating Expenses across the US Oncology. This role will also be responsible for developing a pricing model, prioritization framework, governing body, enhanced reporting, and complete business cases for incremental Practice Management IT projects and other HQ Practice Management allocations. This role will interact with multiple business units (Practice Management, Ontada, MTO, and PSAS), functions (Finance, Strategy, MTO, and Operations), and Executive leaders to develop a scale-able IT and operating expense offering across US Oncology that will drive strategic value across the enterprise. This is a unique role that provides a breadth of finance experiences, a deep understanding of US Oncology practices, and spans across multiple business units and departments.

The Director of IT & HQ Finance is a trusted business partner to the CIO of US Oncology, the Practice Management Leadership Team, and their direct reports. The Director will also work collaboratively across the organization to produce transparent and actionable insight for strategic decision making. This position will lead a team with four finance professionals reporting into it, including three direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead forecasting, planning, and reporting for all USON related IT & HQ products and services
  • Lead forecasting, planning and reporting for all USON related HQ headcount
  • Enhance visibility and alignment into all Practice Management IT & HQ spend for direct spending or spending from allocated sources from other McKesson business units
  • Lead development of automation and improved efficiency of reporting and analysis via use of available corporate tools
  • Create business cases for IT projects, including a full understanding of projected financial costs and benefits, either through additional revenue, cost savings, or cost avoidance, as well as insight into the funding mechanism of each project
  • Partner with IT and Strategy to rationalize IT applications across Practice Management landscape
  • Establish a documented end to end financial process for all HQ allocations, including a prioritization framework, creative solutions to influence practice stakeholders, and governing body while standardizing across the disparate teams
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team
  • Assist with non-IT & HQ related FP&A responsibilities and perform other duties as required

Minimum Education & Work Experience:

  • 12+ years finance experience including 4+ years managerial experience

Critical Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably within Finance or Accounting, including development of business cases
  • Self-directed
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Experience developing and managing strategic financial projects/programs
  • Proven success in building effective business partnerships at the senior level
  • Strong ability to influence and provide strategic recommendations to C-suite decision makers
  • Must have strong quantitative and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • Prior change management experience with success in collaboration across multiple business units

Salary: 130,000.00 - 173,300.00 - 216,600.00 USD Annual
