Description

Join a global, team-oriented organization as our RF Engineering Intern to help us build a smarter, more connected future! This internship program will be 12 weeks long and full time, 40 hours per week.

Program Description

We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented intern to join our team for a project focused on developed a Radio Frequency (RF) materials characterization setup. The project will involve the design of antennas and lenses, as well as the characterization of materials used in the development of RF Absorbers and Dielectric materials. you will work with High-frequency material measurements to extract essential properties - Dielectric Constant and Loss Tangent using a MATLAGB/Python script. The goal is to compare material properties and geometries with measurement results to refine our understanding and improve material characterization techniques. The engineering team has experience and starting points for the antenna/lens design as well as initial code framework for material extraction.

Specific and Measurable Objectives:

  • Develop a robust test method and setup for RF material characterization
  • Document and analyze material measurement results
  • Compare experimental results to a theoretical model to validate the test method and ensure repeatability

Expected Results:

  • A functional and demonstrated materials characterization method that produces repeatable, reliable results
  • Measured data that aligns with the established model, showcasing the effectiveness of the test setup

How results will be measured:

  • Successful demonstration of the test setup
  • Multiple measurements conducted to assess accuracy and consistency of the results
  • A thorough comparison between experimental data and the theoretical model, demonstrating agreement and validation of the methodology

Candidate Qualifications

  • Majors desired: Materials Science, Electrical Engineering - GPA 3.0+
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Experience in Electromagnetics and MATLAB/Python
