Here's what you'd do:

  • The Cloud, Infrastructure, DevSecOps Engineer position will focus on all aspects of design, analysis, implementation and support of systems, software or other solutions pertaining to deploying capabilities to cloud systems.
  • The candidate will work with a team of software and IT engineers to build high-performance, cloud-based solutions.

  • Support the development of open architectures and applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms to ensure they are best suited for Cloud deployment and consumption.
  • Support the adoption of Cloud best practices and supporting technologies to enable such capabilities as DevSecOps, Big Data/Analytics, AI, Micro-Services.
  • Support the architecture, design, development, troubleshooting, and implementation of cloud solutions
  • Work closely with the Information Technology Security team to ensure the applications and solutions designed and deployed are secure and compliant.
  • Effectively Interface with Customer personnel at varying organisational levels
  • Must be self-motivated and expected to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Report status on tasks and assignments

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a specific technology practice (Infrastructure, Network, Storage, Servers, Security, Windows, Linux, etc.) for both on-premise and cloud resources
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Gitlab, SonarQube, Nexus, Twistlock/Prisma Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes (Rancher, Openshift, K3S), Linux, AWS/Azure/GCP, and Terraform.
  • Minimum 2 years of network and operating system experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in container management technologies like OpenShift, AKS, EKS, Rancher, Docker
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in using a source code repository such as Git, BitBucket, Mercurial, or Subversion
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in using a defect management system such as Jira, Bugzilla or Fogbugz
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Agile development methodologies
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience using and deploying RDMS, NoSQL, or Graph databases
  • Experience managing/implementing server/clients with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Platforms and Federation Services
  • (NetIQ, ADFS, Azure MFA, Keycloak, Red Hat SSO, Duo, SAML, etc.)
  • Experience scaling applications based on user demand.
  • Experience working with service-based architectures and Web APIs
  • IAT Level 2 Certification (e.g. Security +).
  • Experience with HTML, HTML5, CSS, XML, XSLT, and JSON.
  • Experience working and deploying on DOD networks including NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS
  • Experience with administration of CI/CD pipeline tools.
  • Administration experience on Microsoft Enterprise CA Cert Requests/Monitoring.
  • Administration experience on Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS).
  • Familiarity with Information Assurance programs.
  • Experience with writing Linux bash scripts
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Terraform, Cloud Formation, Microsoft Bicep
  • Any of the following: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), (ISC)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • CompTIA Cloud+
  • Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Amazon Web Services Certified Solutions Architect Professional
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-refined troubleshooting skills, ability to determine the root cause of a problem and identify and resolve systemic problems.
  • Ability to perform technical briefings to various groups and engineers
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Be able to perform effectively as part of a project "team".
  • Be able to generate preliminary and detailed designs as required for enhancements or modifications to existing designs, requiring the application of current industry design concepts and utilisation of basic technical writing skills.
