Job Description
Motorcycle Safety Mechanic performs routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing spark plugs, gassing up bikes and changing the oil. This position may also perform repairs to engines, transmissions and framework, as well as perform minor repairs to the body, such as removing dents, replacing clutch levers and bent shifters.

Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States, as the College does not offer Visa sponsorship for this position
Required Education
High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of motorcycle maintenance experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Necessary mechanical skills to perform to perform essential duties and tasks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work and cooperate with co-workers and supervisors at all levels
  • Ability to maintain customer service and satisfaction as it relates to assigned unit or area of expertise
  • Must be able to lift and move over 50 lbs frequently and over 100 lbs occasionally

Motorcycle operator license
