Main Duties & Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

The logistics is responsible for coordinating
outside process services that support operational performance in conformity
with specified production and quality. The Logistics Specialist accomplishes this through the issuance and
management of Purchase Orders and Shipping Orders. This role champions vendor relationship and supplier
on time delivery through strong communication across the supply chain.

Essential Duties,
Responsibilities:
Generate Purchase Orders (POs) for Outside Process
services in conformity with the Quality Management System (QMS) from service
providers that are listed on the Approved Vendor List (AVL).
Mitigates supply risk by ensuring that external
resource capacity is sufficient to meet Allfast production needs.
Works closely with Quality and Engineering to source
and qualify Suppliers to improve quality and add capacity.
Coordinates with service providers frequently to
ensure on-time completion of orders, coordinate transportation, and provide
schedule of projected requirements. Evaluates reports, reviews, and follows up on past due
purchase orders and ensure that Supplier lead times are up to date and accurate
in the ERP system. Work closely with Factory Planners and Operations to
ensure that Supplier deliveries meet plan requirements. Assists Accounts Payable on invoice discrepancies or
inquiries.
Provide reports related to outside process job status
and other Logistics-related processes to the organization to enable better
planning and resource allocation. Assist Shipping personnel as required during peak
processing time and to investigate complex logistics issues. Support Logistics and corporate Supply Chain
initiatives by researching and analyzing data and providing information. Maintains accurate and organized records. Supports business initiatives to
drive cost savings, on-time delivery, and quality performance.

The pay scale for this position ranges from $29.00-$34.00 hourly

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Outside Process logistics experience in a
manufacturing environment.
Understanding of supplier risk identification,
mitigation, and contingency planning.
Manufacturing Logistics / Shipping experience
including Import/Export, carrier coordination, and internal logistics problem
solving.
Ability to read drawings, and experience working with
BOMs and ERP/MRP systems.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all
units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such
as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry
out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving
several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must
be computer literate; and be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint; and Word.
Education and/or Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or
equivalent from two-year college or technical school. A minimum of three (3) years purchasing
experience in an aerospace or similar manufacturing environment; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
