Job Responsibilities:

Position Summary: A leadership position focused on providing direct supervision and clinical services to the people being served by CORE. The supervisor and clinician responsibilities are two equally essential roles. The supervisor responsibilities include direct supervision of the CORE staff to ensure comprehensive services are being provided to meet the individualized needs of each CORE participant. The clinical work includes providing direct clinical services to each CORE participant.

Essential Functions:

Supervision:

  • Provide supervision to the CORE team to ensure services are being coordinated to meet the identified needs of the individuals being served by the CORE program.
  • Interview, hire, evaluate, manage, and train assigned CORE staff in accordance with Wraparound Milwaukee and WCS Policies and Procedures.
  • Monitor and approve all documentation to ensure accuracy and timely completion (i.e. progress notes, Plan of Cares, Incident Reports, Change of Placements, etc.)
  • Ensure fidelity to the Wraparound Milwaukee Process and the CORE Program.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, organizational, and contractual requirements including but not limited to; audits, program evaluations, and policies and procedures.
  • Monitor all program outcome measures and ensure that the program meets all required components.
  • Establish and maintain strong communication and collaboration with all partners (i.e. Wraparound Milwaukee, Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division, Community Providers, etc.)
  • Conduct weekly CORE team meetings and weekly individual supervision with each staff.
  • Promote a strength based, person centered, culturally intelligent, and recovery focused philosophy of serving people with mental health and co-occurring needs.

    Clinical:

  • Provide direct clinical services to all individuals being served by the CORE team.Services are provided in the person's home or in the community.
  • Ensure fidelity to treatment protocols and evidence-based practices.
  • Enter timely clinical documentation directly into online database.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to CORE staff.
  • Attend and actively participate in CORE staffing and clinical consultation with Wraparound Milwaukee staff.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend and participate in staffing and in-services
  • Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the position
Job Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Working knowledge of positive youth/young adult development; patience and understanding of challenging life needs; clinical knowledge related to mental health and co-occurring needs, the ability to interact with youth, young adults, and caregivers in a calm and professional manner; ability to follow oral and written instructions and cues; ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in crisis situations; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to perform basic computer functions; highly developed organizational skills with the ability to multitask; sensitivity towards cultural, ethic and life needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree and Licensure as an Advanced Practice Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor In-Training, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
  • Two years of experience serving youth or young adults with mental health and co-occurring needs.
  • One year of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Complete 20-40 hours of CCS (DHS 36) training and 42 hours of mandatory training in Wraparound philosophy and policies, as well as attend a Family Orientation within 6 months of their hire date.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications preferred (Windows and Microsoft Word).
  • Ability to display cultural competence by responding respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, languages, classes, races, ethnic backgrounds, religions and other diversity factors in a manner that recognizes, affirms and values the worth of each individual.
  • No convictions or license revocations that would fail a caregiver background check.
  • Valid driver's license, automobile and sufficient insurance to meet agency requirements.
Other Job Information (if applicable):

Work Relationship and Scope:

Reports directly to the Administrator of Specialized Services. Regular communication and collaboration with Wraparound Milwaukee and the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division is imperative. Has contact with a wide variety of individuals including youth/young adults and family members, other program staff, including consulting Psychologist/Psychiatrist, and other collateral contacts, neighbors, funders, Milwaukee County Department of Health and Human Services, Milwaukee County Delinquency & Court Services Division (DCSD), Children's Court officials, MPS staff and administrators, staff of youth serving agencies and the general public.

Focused on embracing recovery in all interactions and incorporating people with lived experience (Peer Specialists) as part of the team.

Working Conditions:

Supervisory responsibilities are performed primarily in the office and clinical work is performed in the community. Work is performed primarily in a busy office environment serving children, young adults and families. Some of the work is done sitting at desk using a computer; requires outreach in the community and families' homes; much of the outreach is done in urban neighborhoods and several hours per day may be spent driving; hours average 40 per week; flexible work schedule include some hours outside the normal work schedule on evenings and weekends.

Physical Demands:

Duties require possible physical activity while interacting in the community. May require sitting at a desk and/or computer for 2 or more hours at a time. The position requires computer work. Requires the ability to travel and drive for short and extended distances.
