Supply Chain Specialist

This is a hybrid position. The onsite requirements may be several days per week while training and then reduce to one day per week after training. Onsite can be at CHW, CHE, or CHS.

Job Summary

Serves as a project lead to provide structure, project management and direction for new and existing workflow transformation and other initiatives. Oversees medium to large, functional projects or phases of a larger project. Collaborates with leadership to develop work and action plan, scope, timeline and aids in assessment of requirements in order to achieve desired success criteria. Oversees the planning, analysis, execution, implementation, and evaluation of a project and its desired outcomes. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Works closely with leaders, workgroups, stakeholders, and project owners to visualize and understand workflow and systems through value stream mapping or similar methods.

Essential Functions
  • Maintains core defined methodologies utilized by staff to drive consistency and quality of service.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the organization. Initiates and maintains contact with other internal and external process improvement teams to foster an environment of sharing best practices.
  • Keeps management and stakeholders abreast of active and pending projects. Identify and escalate barriers, risks, issues, and requirement changes to project scope appropriately. Assists with the development of risk mitigation plans, in conjunction with workgroup team.
  • Facilitates and leads large cross-functional project initiatives for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Drives a series of improvement initiatives and projects with the explicit intent of improving Supply Chain performance, improving KPIs, and reducing the overall cost of Supply Chain
  • Integrates project management principles and other standardization methods into project execution process.
  • Fosters knowledge transfer, ensuring processes are implemented appropriately. Assists with the measurement and analysis of expected business outcomes.
  • Acts as a change agent. Assists with the development of effective change management and communication solutions to ensure project success.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferably in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 2 years of relevant experience with the following:
    • Utilizing and providing education in the use of process improvement tools and techniques
    • Demonstrated record of achieving and sustaining exceptional results
    • Facilitation skills and ability to create consensus within a group of stakeholders, including creating accountability

Preferred

  • 2 years of relevant experience with the following:
    • Working in a regulated industry preferred (auditing, compliance, procurement, etc.)
    • Process improvement, project management, change management
    • Robust Supply Chain experience including domain expertise in at least one core functional area of Supply Chain (distribution & inventory, procurement, technology, clinical)
