THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Support Coordination Supervisor, you will be responsible for the supervision of supports coordination services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families. Supports coordination is a series of service functions involving the location, coordination, and monitoring of services to assist persons with intellectual disabilities, achieve greater independence, choice, and opportunity in their lives. You will have the opportunity to provide direct supervision and training to the supports coordinators located at the CMSU Developmental Services office.

On day one of employment, CMSU's employees begin earning paid vacation and sick time. In addition to vacation and sick time, CMSU provides four (4) personal days per year and 15 paid holidays. CMSU also provides health, dental, and vision insurance to its staff. Tuition reimbursement for graduate and undergraduate courses both in-person or on-line is also available. CMSU staff also qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
