Responsibilities
Summary The Case Manager II is responsible for providing financial questionnaire services to newly incarcerated persons in accordance with the requirements of the contract and the principles of the GEO Reentry Services. Questionnaire services are for the Fresno County Probation Pre-trial Division, and Superior Court of Fresno. All services are performed at the Fresno County Jail. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- The Case Manager II participates in appropriate training for designated responsibilities.
- Interviews newly admitted inmates utilizing the Humphrey Decision Financial Questionnaire.
- The Case Manager II utilizes the Fresno County case management system to record the Humphrey Decision Financial Questionnaire.
- The Case Manager II II will log results into the Fresno County case management system to determine the incarcerated person's ability to pay bail, as determined by the Superior Court of Fresno.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent certification required. Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, sociology, or a closely related field is desirable.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a correctional setting required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
- Possess a thorough understanding of the Principles of Effective Intervention that empirical evidence has proven to successfully reduce recidivism.
- Must possess the ability to work with a team of professionals and have the ability to implement team strategy approaches to work assignments.
- Must be able to work with correctional staff in a professional and effective manner.
- Must be flexible, cooperative and empathetic to the needs of staff and inmates.
- Ability to prepare written reports; to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and to learn rules, regulations, and security procedures required by the facility.
- Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
- Ability to pass customer clearance and background.
