Under general supervision coordinates operations and care processes within the ambulatory practice and inpatient service. Collaborates with clinical and non-clinical staff to assist patients in scheduling appointments, referral and preauthorization processes, and coordination of other healthcare resources. Provides general support and project management in data collection and analysis, community outreach, marketing, quality and safety, compliance, and patient experience. Facilitates accurate and timely entry of patient charges through analysis and provider support.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a health care or business-related field highly preferred Experience: 1-3 year's related experience in a medical office with emphasis on process management and patient flow Skills:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates incoming and outgoing referrals in a timely manner; Collaborates with patients and providers to facilitate labs, imaging, procedures, follow-up appointments, etc.; With direction of practice manager, collaborates with other providers and practices to identify and meet patient resource needs.
- Through coordination with clinical staff and third-party vendors, assists patients in obtaining home care services and supplies; Ensures patients are notified and receive appropriate information regarding scheduled tests and procedures.
- Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls; Schedules patient appointments and performs registration duties; Provides customer service to patients; responds to patient inquiries, acts as first line of service recovery; Oversees day-to-day processes of patient arrival, rooming, and check-out; Facilitates training of front office staff and other administrative work.
- Completion of pre-registration and referral work queues; supports other staff in completion of charge, account, and claim work queues as needed; Monitors inpatient consult requests; assists in tracking work flows; Assists in monitoring of charge entry and billing information.
- Under direction of practice manager, assists in maintaining and documenting compliance with regulatory standards; Supports data collection (from EPIC reports and other manual processes) and analysis to facilitate key performance indicators and safety, quality, and process improvement work; Assists in the maintenance of policies, procedures, and standard work.
- Promotes achievement of GBMC mission, vision, values, and the four aims; Moves improvement work forward; Assists in identification, prioritization, and implementation of process improvement projects and goals; Supports the overall measurement, tracking, and improvement of patient experience and access; Participates in the planning and promotion of community outreach and marketing activities.

Pay Range $18.86 - $28.30
Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
