We are looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer to join our team. This individual will lead design and integration reviews, develop innovative solutions, and ensure system designs meet functional requirements. Additionally, you will coordinate with customers and internal teams, prepare technical documentation, and mentor staff while collaborating with international technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead Design and Integration Reviews with customers and equipment vendors.
- Design innovative solutions to meet customer/market needs - facilitate and motivate other functional leaders in the overall design process.
- Define functional requirements and conduct design trade off analysis.
- Define compatibility of sub-systems and clearly defined interfaces.
- Ensure that the overall system designs are compliant with the detailed functional requirements.
- Assist in the planning of key New Product Development projects following the Rapiscan IPDP Integrated Product Development Process.
- Liaise with customer and internal team members to facilitate effective co-ordination, planning and schedule adherence.
- Develop technical documentation including Hardware, Software Design Specifications, Test Specifications and Test Reports.
- Prepare project designs, plans and timelines.
- Mentor, develop, and motivate assigned staff.
- Work in conjunction with technical teams in international remote locations.

Qualifications
- 15+ years of highly progressive hands-on experience, directly in the development of Xray imaging products required.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (mechanical, electrical, systems, industrial) required.
- Successful track record of certifying/approving Xray screening systems with US and other Foreign Governments and Agencies (e.g. TSA, CBP, ECAC, STAC, BCAS, CAA, Transport Canada, CATSA)
- Experience in development of multi-energy, single/multi-view X-ray security screening systems applications
- Checkpoint screening
- Hold baggage screening
- Mail and pallet/cargo screening
- Extensive experience in System Architecture (hardware, software)
- Prior experience in integration and application of Xray Generator technology, with successful track record integrating into new products.
- Extensive experience in integration and application of Xray sensors/detectors technology, with successful track record integrating into new products.
- Experience in networked environments
- Experience with automated conveyor and control systems desired.
- Prior experience in global regulatory compliance for electro-mechanical and radiation safety and EMC Project management.
