Associate Director - Reinsurance PowerGen LATAM

Hybrid: This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work 3 days in our Miami, FL Office, and 2 days from home.

What the day will look like

As part of the Broker team, you will work closely in collaboration with broking teams across solution lines to focus efforts on the development of structured reinsurance solutions, including loss portfolio transfers and/or adverse development covers. Is willing to participate in helping in the development of sales and marketing strategy designed to cultivate revenue generation opportunities. This role is supporting LATAM Power & Utilities.

How this opportunity is different

As an Account Manager you will:

  • Assist with the reinsurance placements and negotiations for LATAM Power Generation accounts into the LATAM, and Miami Market
  • Account Services Administration, including, slips, endorsements, etc
  • Post Placement Service
  • Assist with the LATAM Power strategy, new client development, targeting.
  • Assist with Business development by responding to tenders or new business structures development, where service is required.
  • Handle placements for new major power projects in the region by working with the LATAM team and regional offices.
  • Technical resource within team for placement, policy wordings and related matters
  • Work and support team members to achieve LATAM team goals and objectives.
  • Building relationships with the Aon LATAM network offices across the region, an worldwide.
  • Building strong relationships within the markets.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 3+ years broking and/or underwriting commercial lines experience.
  • Experience managing large insurance programs.
  • Property and/or PowerGen experience is a plus!
  • Organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills with an ability to multi-task and prioritize workload with attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to clearly express thoughts and concepts at various levels.
  • Excellent digital literacy, including working experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Education: Bachelor's degree (Insurance, Engineering, Business Administration, or Finance preferred)

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
