Job Summary

The HR Knowledge Management & Communications Advisor is part of the HR Operations team at Oxy and develops, executes, and measures strategic HR communication strategies through various media types. Primary responsibilities are to create, update and manage Workday Knowledge Articles, Workday Journeys, and other HR related materials targeted to help employees and improve user experience.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, enjoys deep diving into technology, and has the desire to excel with the highest level of accountability and integrity. Must have solid written and verbal communication skills that enable successful delivery of messages to a wide variety of audience types. The ability to think independently and collaborate with internal stakeholders to successfully solve problems while managing multiple tasks and projects through execution is required. Key Responsibilities: HR Communications
  • Conceptualize, design, and develop content that effectively communicates messages with a strong emphasis on design, layout, various media types (flyers, posters, print, video, digital banners etc.).
  • Build rapport with internal stakeholders and the general HR function to identify problems and trends; create, advise, consult on solutions to enhance user/employee experiences.
  • Collaborate to maintain and update internal My HR intranet SharePoint.
  • Collaborate to tailor email content for different business units or locations, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Design and update various HR related presentations in a logical visually pleasing manner.
  • Manage communication vendor relations.
Knowledge & Content Management
  • Define and optimize Knowledge Management principles, guidelines, and standards to maintain consistency and integrity across projects and systems.
  • Facilitate best practices in Knowledge sharing across the HR function to maximize efficiencies and streamline outputs.
  • Advise and consult to create Knowledge Articles, Journeys, Announcements and other Workday-related content.
  • Collect and analyze metrics to identify solutions that lead to enhanced user/employee experiences.
  • Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Minimum bachelor's degree in human resources, communications, graphic design, instructional design, or similar field.
  • Experience: Five or more years of technically relevant experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Experience with using Knowledge Management methodologies, frameworks, and content management platforms to collect, sort, organize content using industry leading best practices.
  • Demonstrate a high-level of creativity, innovation, as well as flexibility and collaboration with an ability to work in a team-oriented environment; demonstrate a high-degree of initiative; results oriented.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Suite (InDesign, illustrator, Photoshop) or other design related software.
  • Ability to collaborate on decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with experience developing, executing, and measuring strategic communication programs and campaigns.
  • Strong project management experience with ability to simultaneously facilitate and track multiple projects, tasks, activities to completion.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Organizational Change Management activities that support large audience types.
  • Experience with Workday, including creating Workday Journeys and Knowledge Articles.
  • Knowledge on latest Ai content development tools to improve efficiencies and reduce content creation time.
  • Exposure to broad range of HR disciplines including employee-related programs, employee relations, policy administration, organizational effectiveness, benefits, compensation, and recruiting.
