Salary Range $70,496 - $82,482
Primary Purpose of Department
The 49er card office provides 49er card credentials and manages the campus ID program. This includes running the software and hardware for dining, vending, and retail locations both on and off campus. Additional responsibilities include Papercut print management, event attendance, and the various software integrations ranging from our parking system to time management, library, housing, and student information system.
Primary Purpose of Position
This position is responsible for the successful operation of CloudPOS and mobile ordering systems. The systems administrator will oversee system-attached hardware including but not limited to vending, copy and print, retail POS, and card production.
Summary of Position Responsibilities
They will assist in coordinating the exchange of data between various university systems such as Transact, RMS/Starrez Housing, Banner, ODS and other departmental solutions as well as enforcing data integrity and standards. The system administrator controls system users and is responsible for assigning the appropriate rights and privileges to those end users. Track and maintain data as dictated by departmental and university policy. The position may supervise student workers.
Sensitive Duties Direct responsibility for secure handling of sensitive and/or confidential information., Direct access to, or responsibility for, cash and cash equivalents, credit card information, University property disbursements or receipts, or extensive authority for committing the financial resources of the University., Master key access to buildings, residence halls, or other secure facilities. , Direct responsibility for daily, or regular, operation of State or University owned vehicles.
Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment and three years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Master's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment.
Three or more years in a university setting with extensive experience or responsibility for:

  • Transact Transaction System
  • Cloud Point of Sale
  • Entrust ID Card production software
  • Scripting/Coding
  • Papercut/Print management
  • Technical troubleshooting
  • Customer Service

Necessary Certifications/Licenses
  • Valid Diver's License
