Pay Scale Range **$3.00/hr shift premium for night shift hours (5:45pm - 6:00am)

Starting $22.00

12 - Months $23.90

24 - Months $25.90

36 - Months $27.90

48 - Months $30.90

60 - Months $33.90

Position Summary/General Description:

2-2-3 Schedule from 5:45am to 6:00pm (Day Shift) / 5:45pm - 6:00am (Night Shift) - Perform, in a learning capacity, various job duties and tasks in one of four areas of composite production/manufacturing process (Resin, Filming, Prepreg, Finishing/Packing). Acquire skills in production machinery set-up, safe operation, monitoring and preventative maintenance. Train to identify accepted quality control standards. Acquire skills to promote into higher job classification levels. May move/transport materials. Generally, will not remain in this job classification for more than one year.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:



  • Set up and validate production machinery for proper operation.
  • Assist with machine operation to ensure smooth and efficient running and production of quality products.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools to accomplish primary job functions.
  • Obtain materials required for production run.
  • Learn to operate production equipment computer interface and process monitoring systems.
  • Assist in the inspection of products during production runs.
  • Perform job tasks according to schedules using established safe methods and processes.
  • Work with others to achieve an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Clean machine to ensure proper running and operation.
  • Create and/or complete necessary production related paperwork.
  • Additional Functions Participate in shift turnover process.
  • Maintain work area(s) in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Operate equipment including forklift, hoist, etc. to move materials and supplies.
  • Participate in team meetings.
  • Perform other related production duties as assigned. This job description in no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the Associate.
  • At all times, Associates will be required to follow instructions and to perform any other duties within this or a higher/lower level job upon request of the supervisor.

* Job tasks are carried out in an environment that consists of recurring work situations with occasional variations from the norm. * Ability to evaluate conditions; recognize safety and quality issues; and recommend best course of action.
* Requires the ability to set priorities based upon pre-determined schedules.
* Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve at an intermediate level.
* Ability to provide a high level of customer service to internal customers.
* Generally, will be assigned to one of four production areas.
* Ability to operate one or more types of customized production equipment to manufacture company products.
* Ability to maintain "QA Delegated Inspector" status and other area Production Certifications as required.
* Ability to operate power equipment such as forklifts, hoists, unicorn, etc., and to utilize a variety of hand tools and measuring devices.
* Ability to exert hand/arm strength to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
* Ability to utilize/operate a computer, peripheral equipment and applicable software.
* Possess knowledge of production standards and specifications and ability to accurately perform data entry of inputs and outputs.
* Position requires the ability to read and understand diagrams.
* Knowledge of safety techniques, practices and procedures for handling hazardous materials.
* Possess knowledge of record keeping techniques and procedures

Education/Experience



  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Previous production experience desired

Ability to utilize interpersonal and teamwork skills, perform basic mathematical computations, follow directions and to understand and apply work specifications in the completion of work tasks. The ability to hear, speak, use hands/fingers and the repetitive motions of hands/wrists is frequent. Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Job requires the ability to stand for up to 12 hours. Vision abilities require the adjustment and focus of sight. Ability to be physically mobile and to climb stairs. Ability to wear personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. Ability to be respirator fit and wear respirator if required. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation. Education/Experience High school degree or GED required.

Job tasks are usually performed in a production environment. Occasional exposure to a wide range of temperatures. Works with potentially hazardous materials including epoxy resins and/or components. May be required to wear personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. Position requires the ability to work a rotating or fixed non-standard schedule which includes nights and weekends. Position frequently requires work in excess of 40 hours in a week. Position requires the ability to stand for up to 12 hours and move throughout the production area.
