Job Responsibilities:
- The Lead Radiation Therapist performs simulation procedures for initial patient set-ups and demonstrates essential skills of treatment modalities and protocols to accurately set-up and administer radiation treatments.
- Responsible for the operational functions of Radiation Therapy including simulations and treatments, proper functioning of linear accelerators, simulators, and Computed Tomography machines.
- Oversees and assists team members in assigned functional area, which may include but not limited to, ensuring team is meeting key-deliverables and quality standards, addressing and resolving challenges, managing and tracking performance, and assisting in time management and scheduling; escalates issues to senior leaders as needed.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, healthcare team members, supervisors and outside contacts.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements for consideration:
- Associate's degree, Graduate of an AMA/JCERT approved school of Radiation Therapy.
- Associate degree or an additional four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- 3 years of experience
- American Registered Radiologic Technologist required upon start.
- Basic Life Support form AHA required upon start.
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist is only required for team members in ambulatory areas; such as PROC.
