Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse Manager of QRTP Services, under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing oversees, coordinates, and evaluates all medical and nursing care services through collaborative efforts with team members and in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. This Position oversees and directs Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Behavioral Counseling Technicians, and clerical staff assigned to unit. The Registered Nurse Manager of QRTP Services is responsible for "Hands On" training all RN's and LPN's working on the unit to meet regulatory standards of QRTP nursing care. This position requires a flexible schedule to ensure both day and evening shift nurses receive proper training, guidance and oversight. The Registered Nurse Manager of QRTP Services works closely daily with the Medical Director and the Director of Residential Services to ensure proper communication and information exchange necessary to providing quality treatment to the residents is happening on a consistent basis. Attendance at the morning standup meeting, and weekly treatment team is expected. The QRTP Nurse Manager may step in to the direct care role of an RN assigned to the unit if necessary. Qualifications Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience as a registered nurse in a psychiatric health care facility preferred. Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Ohio State Board of Nursing. Must have a valid driver's license. Additional Requirements: CPR certification and successful completion of Crisis Intervention Training (CPI), including appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint, immediately following employment and prior to performing resident care. Must pass a medication administration exam and complete a basic developmental and age specific training. |
